Elden Ring Player Discovers Perfect Black Blade Kindred Cheese Strat

The Black Blade Kindred is a boss like the Valiant Gargoyle, but it is stylized in inky black and gold to resemble Maliketh, The Black Blade’s armor.

Black Blade Kindred can be found outside the Bestial Sanctum in Caelid. The boss is optional, and you can continue the story without meeting him.

The boss appears twice, once in Caelid and once in Forbidden Lands.

Some Strategies You Need to Know

While it may be tempting to simply flee, one player has devised an amusing strategy in which the boss literally kills itself.

Here’s how you can use this technique to easily defeat your difficult opponent.

  • Rest at the Site of Grace’s Bestial Sanctum.
  • Run outside and over to the building’s left side.
  • Bring the Black Kindred to the cliff’s edge.
  • Make your way around to the back of the Bestial Sanctum slowly.
  • Place the boss in front of the stone column.
  • Bait it with attacks until it does a back hop.

It will simply die because of lack of space and it will give you a free victory with very little effort.  It’s not the most flashy way to dispatch this beast, but it does the job.

Damage Types

Black Blade Kindred deals standard, holy, and piercing damage, and its weapons do the same once obtained, making the boss a useful kill for Faith builds.

Weapon: Kindred wields a Twinblade and an Axe, both of which are available for purchase.

Weaknesses: Its poise can be broken, so make sure to equip the Flame of the Redmanes Ash of War before fighting.

Parry: The Black Blade Kindred, unfortunately, cannot be parried.

Lastly

Poison, Scarlet Rot, Hemorrhage, and Frostbite do not affect Black Blade Kindred. If you’re looking for a cheesy win, status effects aren’t the place to look.
