He was born in the United States on October 13, 1975. His father was a member of the Hartford School Board. Brandon spent his childhood singing in church. Casey became more involved in music when he began writing lyrics with his twin brother.
Casey was formerly a member of the ensemble “Twin AK.” This band later became known as “Jagged Edge.”

Jagged Edge is an American R&B vocal group signed to Columbia Records by Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def Records.
The group’s eclectic influences ranged from the twins’ mother to traditional R&B to singing in the church choir, resulting in an intriguing R&B sound. The group’s members all met while performing in church choruses in Decatur, Georgia.
They launched their mainstream recording career with the tune “The Way You Talk.”
J.E. Heartbreak was published in 2000 as a follow-up to their debut album, “A Jagged Era.”
In 2001, Jagged Edge released their third album, “Jagged Little Thrill.” This album featured the hit “Where the Party At,” which peaked at number three on the Hot 100 and number one on the R&B charts.

They released their fourth album, “Hard,” in 2003. The album’s lead single, “Walked Outta Heaven,” peaked at number two on the R&B charts and number six on the Hot 100.
They released their fifth album, “Jagged Edge,” on May 9, 2006. Columbia/Sony Music Urban released this album, which included the hit “Good Luck Charm.”
In May 2009, the band signed with Slip-N-Slide Records, an American record company formed in 1994 by Ted Lucas.
Jagged Edge released their eighth studio album, “J.E. Heartbreak 2,” on October 27, 2014. They released another album, “Layover,” in 2017.
