Fans were awaiting the major lead reveal for the series due to DiCaprio’s massive involvement in the project when the streaming site made it official.
Several publishers have stated that Keanu was in talks to play Daniel H. Burnham, a genius architect turned serial killer.
The Hulu crime series will be Reeves’ first significant TV role, and he will also serve as an executive producer.
An interesting fact concerning Tom Cruise fans is that he was also seeking to get involved in the project when Dicaprio purchased the rights to Devil in the White City.
He was offered the role of actor and executive producer for the series, but it did not work out.
He was required to participate in the production alongside his partner, Paula Wagner.
The new crime series will be directed and executive produced by Todd Field.
