Is Genshin Impact on Steam? How to Add it to your Library

Players can download and play Genshin Impact using a variety of clients, but PC users will be wondering if miHoYo’s open-world game is available on Steam.

After all, Valve’s digital distribution service houses a massive library of PC games. 

While Steam’s extensive library of titles is enough to sway most players, Valve’s popular client also provides many advantages to those who use its platform.

Steam has pretty much everything a PC player could want, from simple menus to dedicated Friends lists. 

Is Genshin Impact Available on Steam?

It is not available on Steam. In fact, the free-to-play title can only be accessed via the official launcher, the Epic Games Store, the PlayStation Store, and various app stores. 

Of course, this does not rule out the possibility of miHoYo bringing it to Steam in the future. 

After all, Honkai Impact 3rd – miHoYo’s other title was recently released on Valve’s client, allowing PC players to download and play the popular mobile title via Steam.

It’s unclear whether it will be added to Steam in the future, but we’ll update this section as soon as we learn more.

While miHoYo has not been officially released on Steam, you can still add the game to the client.

Simply follow the steps outlined below to play Genshin Impact through Steam:

Genshin Impact can be downloaded from the website.

Start Steam and sign in to your account.

In the top lefthand corner, select ‘Games.’

‘Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library’ should be selected.

It can be found on the folder screen.

Tick the checkbox.

After you’ve completed the preceding steps, you’ll be able to select Genshin Impact from your Steam Library.
