Where to Find Magby in Pokemon Legends Arceus
Firespit Island is home to the Baby’mon. You can simply warp to the Molten Arena if you’ve been there before.
If not, you’ll have to navigate to it. The island is located in the northeast corner of the map, directly to the right of Seagrass Haven.
As you follow the path up or down the volcano, you’ll encounter Magmar – and possibly a Magby, as it appears here as well.
If it doesn’t appear, you’ll need to return to Jubilife Village and reload to reset the spawns.
Because the Pokemon is skittish, you’ll need to crouch and use a Stealth Spray to catch it from behind with a Great Ball or better.

How to Catch Magby
First Step
Clearing Magmar and Graveler first is the simplest way to catch Magby. This is simple to accomplish with any Water-type Pokemon.
Simply use a Gyarados, Tentacruel, or other similar Pokemon to eliminate the Graveler and Magmar before concentrating on Magby.
Springy Mushrooms, Dazzling Honey, Plump Beans, and Hearty Grains are all favorites of Magby.
These are the types of things trainers will want to throw at Magby before he catches it.
The Dazzling Honey is the best to use because it is the most abundant.
Reloading Dazzling Honey is as simple as walking through the woods in Obsidian Fieldlands or Coronet Highlands.

Second Step
Once distracted by the item, trainers should be able to catch it with a back-strike with a Leaden Ball or Heavy Ball.
Magby’s catch rate isn’t the best, so this shouldn’t be too difficult. Players should try to catch three while on Firepit Island if possible.
That should get any player a decent amount of work done on Magby’s Pokedex entry using the food method.
If it’s being used, it’s also a good idea to teach it Flame Wheel, as that’s a Pokedex research task.
Conclusion
Magby, the first form of Magmar, is no exception; unlike other games in the series, you can catch them without having to breed and hatch them.
