During Monday’s episode of MSNBC’s The View, Wallace was seen wearing what appeared to be a wedding band on her ring finger Deadline: White House.

Who is Nicolle Wallace

Nicolle Wallace is a television host and author from the United States. She is best known as the host of MSNBC’s news and politics show Deadline: White House, as well as a former co-host of ABC’s daytime talk show The View.

She is a regular on-air contributor to Today, The 11th Hour with Brian Williams, and Morning Joe as a political analyst for MSNBC and NBC News.

Wallace previously worked as the White House Communications Director during George W. Bush’s presidency and re-election campaign in 2004.

Wallace was also a senior advisor to John McCain’s presidential campaign in 2008. She also wrote the contemporary political novels Eighteen Acres, It’s Classified, and Madam President.

The early life of Nicole Wallace

Nicolle Devenish was born in Orange County, California, on February 4, 1972.

She grew up in the Northern California Bay Area suburb of Orinda, the eldest of four siblings. Her mother was a public school third-grade teacher’s aide, and her father was an antique dealer.

Thomas Devenish, her grandfather, was a Manhattan antique dealer who operated under the name “Devenish and Company.”

He was born in England to vaudevillian parents, and his family immigrated to the United States in 1947. Wallace is of Greek descent as well.

Wallace graduated from Miramonte High School in 1990 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in mass communications from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994, as well as a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 1996.

Who is her Husband?

Michael S. Schmidt is an American journalist, best-selling author, and Washington, D.C. correspondent for The New York Times.

He specializes in national security and federal law enforcement, and he has broken several high-profile stories. He also contributes to MSNBC and NBC News on national security issues.

Among the stories covered were the existence of Hillary Clinton’s private email server, Donald Trump’s attempts to obstruct justice, and the existence of the federal investigation into Representative Matt Gaetz.

He won a Pulitzer Prize for breaking the story that President Trump had asked FBI Director James Comey for a loyalty pledge and the closure of the federal investigation into Michael Flynn.

Because of this story, the Justice Department appointed a special counsel to investigate President Trump.

About The Couples

The newlyweds met on Wallace’s show and started dating in March 2019, according to Page Six.

The former View co-host was previously married to Mark Wallace, the US Ambassador to the United Nations, from 2005 to 2019. The exes co-parent son Liam.

Before MSNBC, Wallace served as the White House communications director during President George W. Bush’s administration and was the senior advisor for John McCain and Sarah Palin’s 2008 presidential campaign.

In addition, she was a co-host on The View for a year before departing in 2015.

Meanwhile, Schmidt’s career has included positions at MSNBC, NBC News, and the New York Times.

Newsroom romances seem to go one of two ways these days. Some, like in the case of CNN’s former president Jeff Zucker, end up with people resigning after failing to disclose their romantic relationship.

Nicolle Wallace and her boyfriend, Michael Schmidt, chose the latter.

Before coming to MSNBC, though, Wallace was working for former President George W. Bush, both on his re-election campaign and in the White House as his communications director, per Leading Authorities.

Following her time in the Bush White House, The U.S. Sun reports Wallace worked as a senior advisor to Senator John McCain during his 2008 presidential campaign.

On her switch from serving a Republican president to being an anchor on a very liberal-leaning news network, Wallace has explained in the past that she no longer considers herself a practicing Republican, per AdWeek.

AdWeek is even reporting rumors that Wallace could replace Rachel Maddow, who is currently taking time off, as the anchor of a show notoriously critical of Republicans and right-wing politics.

While Schmidt technically doesn’t work for MSNBC, he has been a frequent guest on Wallace’s show, per Page Six.

Schmidt works for The New York Times and is the journalist who broke the story about how Hillary Clinton had been using her private email account to send classified information during her time as Secretary of State.

According to reports, Nicolle Wallace and Michael Schmidt are married.

While Nicole Wallace and Michael Schmidt have high-profile careers, their relationship has been kept anything but. Wallace, who divorced in March 2019, has gone out of her way to keep her personal life out of the headlines.

According to Page Six, the couple has only been spotted out in public the same month at the annual South By Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas.

However, sources close to the couple say Wallace would never go public with a new relationship so soon after divorce.

But, according to Page Six, Wallace and Schmidt married in a private ceremony over the weekend.

Although no official announcements have been made, viewers noticed a wedding band on Wallace’s left hand during Monday’s episode.

Schmidt and Wallace aren’t the first workplace couple who found love at MSNBC. As per Vanity Fair
