TikToker under fire with ‘animal abuse’ allegations after controversial videos

– Avani Reyes –

A popular TikToker has received backlash after posting a video that some have deemed to be animal abuse.

She was accused of abandoning her cat.

Avani Reyes has over 3 million TikTok followers.

Thanks to her low-energy videos that make iced coffee both funny and inspiring for viewers.

Reyes is well-known for “copying” the Gorilla Glue girl.

She visits the ER after getting some in her hair and being unable to wash it out.

She’s now being chastised for serious reasons, with outraged fans questioning her treatment of her cat in a TikTok video.

Each of Avani’s iced coffee videos begins with her tossing a tray of ice cubes onto her counter. This is where the backlash has originated.

What Did Aveni Do to her Cat?

Avani throws her ice on the counter like she always does in a video, but this time her cat gets in the way.

Instead of moving the cat, Avani acts as if they aren’t there and continues to throw the ice.

She hits the cat, and the pet falls off the counter, with Avani completely ignoring them the entire time.

Before long, the majority of the comments were critical of Avani’s actions and her treatment of her cat.

The most common comment was, “Why do this to an animal?” Others argued that the cat did not deserve such treatment or that “this is just really upsetting.”

Avani actually doubled down and posted another similar video of herself throwing ice on her cat, clearly unaware or unconcerned about the backlash she was receiving.

The comments on the subsequent video were nearly identical, questioning the TikToker’s motivations and asking why they would do this in the first place.

Avani had not yet responded to the backlash at the time of writing.
