Westport mom died by suicide, 7-year-old daughter was drowned

The medical examiner’s office informed The Post on Friday that the mother and her 7-year-old daughter from Connecticut perished in an apparent murder-suicide. Their remains were discovered in their mansion.

According to the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Tracy Do, 46, of affluent Westport, self-inflicted “sharp-force” injuries to the chest and extremities. As young Layla Malon drowned. Police are still looking into how the two people died.

According to court documents, Do and her ex, Eric John Malon, were embroiled in a contentious legal dispute over the opulent house. The feuding former couple had been due to show up at a distant court hearing in their legal saga on Friday morning.
