Woman Falls to Death While Searching for Viral TikTok ‘Infinity Pool’
The 58-year-old woman falls from an infinity pool, a popular beauty spot in a remote hiking area of Far North Queensland, Australia.
A teacher and mother-of-two died after falling 150 feet on Mount Snowdon while looking for an ‘infinity pool’ she saw on TikTok.
Victoria Luck, a special needs teacher, and mother, died in December 2021 after being disoriented while hunting for an ‘infinity pool’.
However, she had seen on the short-form video platform TikTok on Mount Snowdon in Wales.
Victoria was not Alone
According to the news, Victoria and her companion, Matthew Radnor, became separated approximately a mile distant from the pool on Crib Goch mountain.
At that point, the couple separated up, with Luck heading down into a gully and Radnor descending through a dog-friendly route.
That was the last time he saw his girlfriend before she dropped 150 feet to her death. Radnor stated he heard his partner “yelp” but didn’t see him fall.
The woman fell just before 1 p.m. on Sunday from the top of Windin Falls, roughly 40 miles south of Cairns. This was according to a statement released later that evening by Queensland police.
Her body was discovered around 4 p.m. by rescue helicopter crews after a thorough ground and air search.
The Old Cairns Track in Wooroonooran National Park is the only way to reach the secluded waterfall.
Unfortunately, Radnor and Luck’s quest to visit the pool took a turn when they didn’t have a map or navigation on their phone.
She went missing while trying to find it on the renowned Crib Goch Ridge
This isn’t the first time someone has died while trekking in recent years. Richard Jacobson, 21, died earlier this year after falling 400 to 700 feet from an Arizona peak.
He fell while taking a photo, in one of a series of similar accidents.
