What did Alcindor ask Joe Biden at the press conference?

On social media, Alcindor was chastised for her puffball question to President Biden during his first formal press conference on March 25.

The PBS reporter inquired whether migrants are crossing the border because Biden is a “moral” and “decent” man.

“You’ve repeatedly stated that immigrants shouldn’t come to this country right now because the timing isn’t right.

“Rather, the perception of you as a moral, decent man is why many immigrants come to this country and entrust you with unaccompanied minors.”

Alcindor concluded her speech by asking Biden how he plans to deal with the “tension” of being such a nice person.

“Well, I guess I should be flattered that people are coming because I’m the nice guy; that’s why it’s happening,” Biden explained.

People on social media were quick to point out Alcindor’s double standard in her coverage of both Biden and Trump.

Alcindor insisted during one of Trump’s press conferences that the president’s use of the term “Kung Flu” was racist.

“At least one White House official used the term ‘Kung Flu,’ referring to the fact that this virus originated in China.”

Is that appropriate? Is it incorrect?” Alcindor inquired of Trump.

“No, not at all,” Trump responded. “It’s from China.”
