About Sultan Kosen

His parents and four siblings, as well as the rest of his family, are all of the ordinary height. Sultan was unable to complete his education due to his enormous girth. To support his family, he began working as a farmer.

Pituitary gigantism is the condition that causes Sultan’s unusual development and huge height. It is the outcome of excessive growth hormone production.

The pituitary gland in the brain secretes human growth hormone. When a tumor damages the gland, it may produce too much or too little hormone.
